1. Acceptance of the Terms of Use

Welcome to eventKB, operated by Event Key Booking. These Terms of Use, together with any documents they expressly incorporate by reference (collectively, “Terms”), govern your access to and use of the Website, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the Website, whether as a guest or a registered user.

By using the Website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the Website.

2. Payment and Refund Policy

All services provided by eventKB require payment prior to the start of the event. Payments are processed securely through the app interface using mobile payments or debit/credit cards, depending on the country of the event and the event creator.

Once an event has begun whether it is a Contributions Management or Invitations Management event it cannot be stopped, and no refunds will be issued. This ensures that WhatsApp messages and other communications already sent to invitees, contributors, or committees are not disrupted.

3. Our Services

The Website provides tools and services for creating, managing, and broadcasting events (Services). These Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Customizable invitation and contribution notes.
  • Guest list and contributor management tools.
  • RSVP and contribution tracking.
  • Broadcast of invitations and reminders via WhatsApp.
  • Event committee management and communications via email or WhatsApp.
  • Event scheduling, notifications, and reporting.

4. Communications and Broadcasts

eventKB enables communication with entries and committees via:

  • WhatsApp messages for broadcasting invitations, reminders, and updates to invitees or contributors.
  • Email or WhatsApp messages for Event Committee updates, with email being free and WhatsApp messages charged according to current rates.

The event creator selects the communication method for committees, and all communications must comply with applicable laws and these Terms of Use.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of eventKB, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information when creating events.
  • Ensuring that all participants (invitees, contributors, or committee members) are informed and consent to the use of their contact information for the purpose of the event.
  • Understanding that once an event starts, it will proceed to completion and no refund is allowed.
  • Complying with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations when sending communications.
  • Managing event settings, schedules, and participant updates responsibly through the platform.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Website and its contents are owned by eventKB or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. Users are granted only a limited, non-commercial license to use the Website in accordance with these Terms.

7. User-Generated Content and Prohibited Uses

You are responsible for all content you create, upload, or transmit using the Website (User-Generated Content). Prohibited activities include:

  • Violating any applicable law or regulation.
  • Exploiting or harming minors.
  • Sending unsolicited promotional messages (spam).
  • Impersonating eventKB or another user.
  • Conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone use of the Website or may harm eventKB.

8. Scope of Translation

Translation features provided on this Website apply only to its content displayed on the Website itself. Translations do not extend to external communications such as emails, WhatsApp messages, notifications, or any formal communications sent to users, event committee members, entries, or other participants outside the Website.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tanzania.
